Silverback Films is proud to have produced the seven short films celebrating the winners of the 2026 Whitley Awards.
Premiered during the annual Whitley Awards ceremony at the Royal Geographical Society in London on 29 April 2026, each film highlights the work of this year’s winners and the impact they are driving across conservation, wildlife protection and community-led environmental action.

2026 Whitley Gold Award winner
Known internationally as the “Green Oscars”, Whitley Fund for Nature supports grassroots conservationists leading impactful work across the Global South. The winner films were created to help bring these powerful stories to wider audiences, shining a light on the people working on the frontline of conservation.
