Studio Silverback is working with the Planetary Guardians initiative which unites leaders from across the globe and across generations with a mission to elevate the Planetary Boundaries science.
We supported the high-profile launch of the initiative during 2023 Climate Week in New York with a film to introduce the collective of global climate leaders.
First developed in 2009 by a global team of 28 of the world’s leading scientists led by Professor Johan Rockström of the Stockholm Resilience Centre, the planetary boundaries framework identifies nine critical systems needed to regulate the health of the entire planet. From climate change to freshwater use, biodiversity loss to chemical pollution and the release of novel entities, these boundaries define the “safe operating space” for humanity.
