Polar Bear wins Cinematography Award at Wildscreen 2022

Wildscreen has announced the winners of their 2022 Panda Awards, which took place on 13 October at the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel, showcasing the best in natural world storytelling craft from across the world.

Our Polar Bear Disneynature feature won the Films@59 Cinematography Award.

Polar Bear tells the story of a new mother whose memories of her own youth prepare her to navigate motherhood in the increasingly challenging world that polar bears face today.

A huge congratulations to the team for their astonishing work to capture this remarkable story of our mother bear and her cubs; Howard Bourne, Per Christian Dyrø, James Ewen, Jamie Mcpherson, Warwick Sloss, Mark Smith, Rolf Steinmann, Erika Tirén, Tom Walker, Ryan Atkinson, Tom Beldam, Florian Ledoux, Steven Mcgee-Callender, Hector Skevington-Postlesn.

On the night, special awards were given to recognise members of the industry for their positive impact on the natural storytelling community. Jeff Wilson, Series Producer at Silverback and the Chair of the Festival Advisory Board presented the Outstanding Achievement Award to Production Management Teams everywhere for being at the heart of production. Jane Hamlin, Head of Production at Silverback accepted the award on behalf of the whole industry.
