Teams across Silverback Films came together last week to mark Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May), taking part in a series of activities designed to encourage connection, creativity and time away from desks.

Throughout the week, colleagues joined a mix of relaxed, optional events including tag rugby in Queen Square, a lunchtime craft session and a cinema screening, with a flexible Friday encouraging informal walks and social catch-ups across teams. While wet weather later in the week disrupted plans for a Rounders session on the Downs, the spirit of the week remained focused on bringing people together.

The week also highlighted the importance of small, everyday actions in supporting mental wellbeing, alongside the ongoing support available to everyone at Silverback – including freelancers.
Mental Health Awareness Week serves as a reminder that we all have mental health, and that looking after it – and each other – is part of everyday working life.
