Silverback staff volunteered at Grow Wilder yesterday, a 12-acre Avon Wildlife Trust site in the Frenchay area of Bristol for our environmental charity day. We joined the site to get stuck into practical land management and conservation projects, working to make a clearing for a new sensory garden for children. Our team were kept busy – uprooting and fighting nettles, chopping overgrown brambles and vine weeds, and clearing pathways.
It was a beautiful and rewarding day in the sunshine.

In 2012, Grow Wilder was set up as a response to the negative impacts of modern food growing systems. Since then the site has expanded activities to become a deeply valued urban wildlife site, community hub and education centre. Learn more about the project here.
Silverback are committed to making a difference and we undertake charity events regularly throughout the year. This year, alongside this environmental day, we have competed in the Bristol Bears Tag Rugby League and the Dragon Boat race in Bristol Harbour – and we’ve held regular fundraising events such as charity bake sales and clothes swaps.
