To mark International Women’s Day 2026, we asked four of the women at Silverback Films a simple question: which women have inspired you in your career?

From mothers to mentors, their answers highlight the many ways inspiration is shared and passed on. The film offers a small snapshot of the women behind our productions and the people who have helped shape their journeys.

At Silverback Films, our teams include filmmakers, scientists, researchers, production managers, production coordinators and colleagues across finance, HR and many other specialist roles, all working together to bring our productions to life. This short film celebrates the individuals who have inspired some of the women across our company and the paths that led them into natural history filmmaking.
