Silverback Films Receives 10 RTS West of England Nominations

We’re thrilled to have received a strong set of nominations at the RTS West of England Awards 2026, recognising excellence across natural history, directing, cinematography and emerging talent. The full shortlist was announced by the Royal Television Society on 12 March 2026.

Among the highlights, Hamza Yassin is nominated in On‑Screen Talent for Hazma’s Hidden Wild Isles, while Katie Wardle is recognised in the Flying Futures category for emerging talent. Silverback Films also secures Natural History nominations for Hamza’s Hidden Wild Isles and Sea Lions of the Galapagos.

In the directing categories, Laura Howard is nominated for Hamza’s Hidden Wild Isle, alongside Toby Nowlan, Colin Butfield and Keith Scholey, who are nominated for Ocean with David Attenborough. Cinematographers across both productions -including Doug Anderson, Toby Strong, Hamza Yassin, Jacob Parish and Johnny Rolt – are also recognised.

Additional nominations include Steven Price for Composer and the Production Management Team for Ocean with David Attenborough.
