Silverback Films took part in the 2025 Gympanzees Dragon Boat Race at Bristol Harbourside as part of our continued efforts to support the charity’s work to create the UK’s first fully accessible leisure facility.

The ‘Silver Dragons’ paddled hard against over a dozen other teams; winning our first heat, knocking 7 seconds off our time in our second heat, and after a competitive start, in our third heat we just missed out on a place in the semi-finals!

It was a brilliant day of fun, raising vital funds for a cause that means so much to us – and followed a bake sale and raffle at our offices earlier in the week which also raised over £450.

Right now, 77% of disabled children don’t have regular access to leisure or exercise, leaving many isolated and excluded. Gympanzees is changing that by providing a permanent home where thousands of families will be supported every year. Find out more about the #ProjectHome appeal on their website.
