We celebrated a night of success at the RTS West of England Awards last night (Sunday 26 April), taking home three prestigious honours across craft and on-screen talent categories.
Our landmark feature documentary Ocean with David Attenborough (co-produced by Open Planet Studios) led the wins, securing the Cinematography award for Doug Anderson and Toby Strong on behalf of the whole team for the film’s groundbreaking visuals. The film also won Composer, awarded to Oscar-winning musician Stephen Price for his powerful and immersive score, which plays a central role in bringing the ocean’s story to life.
In addition, presenter and filmmaker Hamza Yassin took home the On-Screen Talent award for our series Hamza’s Hidden Wild Isles, further cementing his status as one of the UK’s most engaging voices in natural history storytelling.
The RTS West of England Awards celebrate the very best in regional television production, with this year’s ceremony recognising outstanding achievements across factual, drama, and craft disciplines.
Congratulations to all the winners, see the full list here.
